Epale national seminary

The Epale seminar "Freedom is participation. The adult at the center: participating to form "inaugurates a new season of reflection on adult education and puts the spotlight on the dimension of participation not only as a method, but also as a space for the construction of territorial networks of lifelong learning. It will be held in Genoa from 14 to 16 November in collaboration with the University of Genoa, the National Forum of the Third Sector, Edaforum and the spin-off of the University of Florence, MoCa Future Designers. EPALE intends to contribute to responding to the increasingly urgent request by society in terms of innovation and transformation of education and training methods in the formal and non-formal system. The seminar avails itself of the presence of expert scholars and practitioners in the sector and will be carried out entirely through participatory and activation methods of the subjects in training , thus aiming to spread within the organizations in which they operate a greater participatory culture, a climate favorable to the dialogue, comparison and encounter, recognition and enhancement of diversity, mutual transformation of ideas and points of view, and therefore social and educational innovation. At the same time becoming familiar with the use of some of the main participatory methodologies, they will also reflect on the strengths and weaknesses and on the truly innovative and trasformative nature, also in the European and international space.
